 Certification Program
Benefits of the Certificate
  • Advance Your Career as a Project Manager
By completing the Institute’s certificate program, you will receive formal recognition as a project manager trained in the latest project management competencies. You will also receive PDUs and CPE credits to bolster your credentials.
  • Meet New Certification Requirements
To hold a position as a project manager in government you must demonstrate compliance with new skills sets required by OPM and the CIO Council. Receiving your Certificate as a Project Manager or PMP® certification is one key way to demonstrate your skills.
  • Customize a Program to Fit Your Needs
Working with Institute training managers, you can select courses that will have direct application and impact to your work.
Customize and Complete a Comprehensive Project Management Certificate Program

Many government managers are now required to receive formal project management certification. To address this need, the Institute offers a Certificate in Government Project Management and offers a complete package of courses to help you pass the PMP® certification exam and maintain your certification thereafter. Completing a Certificate program is easy. Just attend the three “core” project management courses to receive an “Associate Project Manager” certificate. To receive a full “Project Manager” certificate, you would attend an additional three “elective” courses based on topics that meet your unique needs. The skills you acquire will then be used in either a “Demonstration Project” or in passing the PMP® certification exam.
