Transferring
Knowledge to Transform Organizations
The
Performance Institute is a resource for public, private
and non-profit organizations seeking to improve their
performance through best practice analysis, strategic
management and performance measurement. Offering
timely conferences, training, research and consulting,
the Institute positions itself as a “solutions
center” for executives and managers seeking
assistance, cutting-edge research, best practices and
“next step” advice on organizational design, change
and renewal.
A
strictly non-partisan organization, the Institute serves
as the nation’s leading repository of thoroughly
researched, documented, catalogued and peer-reviewed
“best practices” in a multitude of areas. Through
the Institute’s national issue summits, policymakers,
renowned experts and seasoned practitioners are brought
together in peer-to-peer settings to review and evaluate
these best practices.
While
the Institute’s work extends into a wide-range of issue
areas, the Institute conducts extensive work in four key
areas and has established a Center of Excellence for each
area:
Environmental
Performance Institute promotes results-oriented approaches for
protecting and improving our nation’s environment and its
management of natural resources through the principles of
performance, partnership, flexibility and innovation.
Center
for Civic Leadership examines new solutions to our nation’s social
problems as well as best practices in grant making and
program management for foundations, non-profit
organizations, and civic groups.
Law
Enforcement Development Center cultivates excellence in the law enforcement community by analyzing best
practices in the administration and enforcement of the law
and promoting results-oriented ideas for addressing
cutting-edge issues facing law enforcement professionals at
federal, state and local levels.
Center
for Technology Strategy studies the transformational impact of information
technology in not only enhancing the performance of
organizations, but transforming the way business and
government functions are conducted.
