Purpose:

Federal Department's are using the President's Management Agenda to provide a greater emphasis on the need for performance management across the federal government. The Performance Management Excellence Awards are intended to rewarding those departments that have done the greatest job of improving their PMA scores. The Institute wants to recognize those agencies striven to meet the expecations of the PMA and are now seeing noticeable results from those efforts.
