Jon Desenberg has been a Senior Consultant with The Performance Institute since 2004. Jon served as the Project Director for the US General Services Administration’s (GSA) Performance Management System from 2001-2004. In this capacity, Jon developed and implemented one of the US Government’s largest enterprise-wide performance systems, rolling out measures and goals for more than 30 departments and regional offices throughout the agency. By 2004, all 13,000 employees at GSA were using the online system to track progress and measure program performance in real time. From 1998-2001, Jon served as Policy Analyst in GSA’s Office of the CIO and Office of Knowledge Management. Jon has been published in Government Executive Magazine, The Washington Post, and the Congressional Record. He also co-wrote the textbook, Knowledge Management: The Framework for Electronic Government.

Jon graduated from The University of Michigan in 1992 and American University’s Washington College of Law in 1997.
