The Council understands that local government is the purest form of government and more directly touches lives. Therefore, the California Government Accountability Council has launched a state-wide policy and outreach vehicle dedicated exclusively to help local elected officials put common-sense ideas into action. Through the Local Elected Action Project, the Council not only seeks to reform state government but also to reform government at all levels through conferences, workshops, and lectures to train local officials on better serving their respective communities by implementing accountability reforms.
