This
forum will focus on how the Wildland Fire Program has fared under
a new evaluation system being used by the White House Office of
Management and Budget: the Program Assessment Rating Tool (PART).
Using the PART as a starting point, Executive and Legislative officials,
external stakeholders and experts will dialogue on how to improve
performance measures and subsequent evaluations applied to the federal
wildland fire management program.
You
are invited to help answer this question and explore how to improve
Congressional oversight of the wildland fire program at the Wildland
Fire Performance Dialogue.
To
make this process fully effective, the Dialogue will feature a discussion
between Congressional staff and forestry stakeholders on how to
make the Wildland Fire program performance information available
during the annual PART evaluation, budget and appropriations process,
as well as to the American people. We hope youll join us for
this unique opportunity to participate in an important discussion.
