Common Challenges, Community Solutions

The Performance Institute houses the Law Enforcement Development Center--a national consortium of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies working together to address common challenges. Agency members set the agenda and determine the activities and services to be provided by the LEDC.

  •  Recruitment and Retention of Quality Officers

  •  Racial Profiling and Traffic Stop Management

  •  Performance Measurement and Accountability

  • Grants Management and Budgeting

  • Use of Force (Investigations and Training

  • Community Relations and Outreach

Members of the Law Enforcement Development Center are entitled to numerous benefits such as:

  • Quarterly consortium training workshops on           pressing issues facing the law enforcement community from leading national experts

  • Free passes and additional discounted passes to attend any LEDC public-offering conference or training program

  • Access to LEDC expertise each month for consultation and research assistance.

  • Monthly electronic newsletters and timely e-advisories on key topics
