Dear Federal ADR Program Professional,

In an ever-changing environment of organizational conflicts, budget limitations, and an increased need for mediation in the workplace, the need for you to effectively administer and  measure the performance of your program is crucial to current and continued success within your agency.  We invite you to attend the 2003 Symposium on Alternative Dispute Resolution in Government, being hosted in Arlington, VA, on March 12 & 13. This symposium offers interactive training sessions and case studies to provide new and innovative approaches to administering and evaluating the performance of your agency’s ADR program.

Evaluating and measuring the performance of your agency’s Alternative Dispute Resolution initiative can be challenging; especially with organizational challenges and current budget constraints.  In conjunction with the President’s Management Agenda, the Human Capital Scorecard looks at how well federal agencies can effectively lead their programs through leadership, innovation, communication, and alignment with agency missions. The scorecard requires a set of objective measures to be put in place to evaluate performance. Establishing these performance measures for your agency’s ADR program is crucial to stay aligned with the PMA.

Evaluate your training curriculum and identify organizational challenges
Continued and effective mediator training and curriculum will ensure that the process is consistent with successful administration at all stages of the porcess, including post-mediation and workplace sentiment.  Learn how to target organizational challenges and value conflicts that pose a constant need for dispute resolution.

Improve Your Program Administration and Implement Performance Measures to Ensure Effectiveness and Produce Results
Identifying, evaluating, and implementing performance measures and program evaluation is crucial to keeping your agency's ADR program running effectively and efficiently.  Day two will discuss private and public sector performance measures and how your agency can incorporate those measures and successes to stay consistent with your programs mission.  Come hear from experts who have implemented, tested, and measured these programs, as well as effectively promoted awareness of their program within their specific agency.

Put your program on the map

Learn how to effectively enhance awareness, credibility, and development for your program. Redesign the administration of your program and put it in the running for the Office of Personnel Management’s Outstanding Alternative Dispute Resolution Award for 2003.

Share and exchange valuable information and strategies other members of the federal ADR community are implementing, as well as network with association and mediation professionals as they share their expertise in this continually evolving practice.  Dispute resolution professionals at all levels will benefit by addressing these pressing issues and incorporating new methods to measure effectiveness. Register today by calling (703) 894-0481 or visit us online at www.performanceweb.org. I look forward to seeing you in March!

Sincerely,
