Mission
The
notion of where communication adds value to an organization
has changed rapidly over time. No longer is it enough for communication
professionals to claim success because their organization or
agency communicates well. Today's questions: Where do you add
value? Where do you influence the achievement of mission results?
The
Center for Communication Strategy focuses on improving the performance
and results of government programs and non-profits through the
implementation of strategic communications and value-based message
development. More specifically, the center specializes in strategic
communication planning, value-based message development, internal
and external communication planning, message delivery and implementation,
grassroots/grasstops communication techniques, stakeholder dialogue
facilitation, crisis communications and performance measurement
and evaluation.
Through
our interactive trainings, national conferences and strategic
consulting services the center provides communicators with the
skills necessary to take control of their communication activities.
By linking communication planning to organizational goals agencies
can achieve mission attainment and resonate with their target
audiences.
The
Institute facilitates the sharing of best practices amongst
communication professionals who have faced and overcome similar
challenges in conveying their organizations message. Recognizing
the need to evaluate the effectiveness of communication initiatives,
the institute specializes in using the logic model methodology
to keep the communications initiatives on track, on time, and
on budget.
