Clarifying the Logic of the Program
Logic Model Template
The mission of the
            (Program)
Is to produce/provide
      (Products or Services)
To
       (Target of Change)
So that they can
               (Intermediate Outcome Change)
Resulting ultimately in…
         (End Outcome Goal)
This template aids in the development of the rationale or mission statement for each program and opens up the dialogue among participants at the stakeholder session.  Completing this form is a useful precursor to the construction of a logic model.
Referring back to the job training program discussed earlier in this presentation, let’s flesh out this template.  The mission of the Arlington County Job Training Program – is to provide practical education and training – to increase the competencies of welfare recipients – so that they can land well-paying jobs – resulting ultimately in them earning a self-sufficient wage so that they don’t depend on government benefits.
