Mr. Tettelbach joined The Performance Institute on March 29, 2004 to further his passion of improving government performance. As a senior consultant, he assists Federal, State and Local governments by identifying their needs, developing custom solutions and delivering quality results that improve the performance and value of client organizations. A frequent speaker at internal and external conferences and training programs, he has helped numerous organizations develop and improve performance management programs to comply with legislative mandates and address unique performance issues.

Prior to joining The Performance Institute, Mr. Tettelbach was a Vice President with Gartner, Inc., responsible for over 300 IT performance management engagements for Fortune 500 companies and the federal government. His knowledge and experience helped to significantly reduce IT costs while maintaining the effectiveness and quality of corporate IT services. He was recognized company-wide for his project management and performance management expertise based on his work with a large gas and oil company, several large financial and banking companies, four energy companies, two research and engineering companies, and multiple Federal Defense and Federal Civilian Agencies.

Mr. Tettelbach retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel in March 1998 after spending 18 years in the communications-computer field. During his military career, he held various assignments in all hierarchical levels of the Air Force. His most notable responsibilities included providing mainframe computer support to deployed forces in the Gulf War, fielding the first-ever automated mission-planning software for fighter pilots, integrating the backbone networks within the Pentagon, and designing the Pentagon’s Network and Systems Management Center.

Mr. Tettelbach earned a bachelor’s degree in basic science from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a master’s degree in systems and information science from Syracuse University.
